Both the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus Only Have 60Hz Displays
However, there is one thing that Apple did not reveal about the iPhone 14 and the Plus variant during the launch. While Apple thoroughly and rightfully boasted about the performance and new cameras, along with the display size and battery life, the one thing that the company left out was the refresh rate of both phones. Sadly, both the iPhone 14 at 6.1-inch and iPhone 14 Plus at 6.7-inch, are still using 60Hz displays. I do understand that for a lot of people, this might not be of major concern but considering how you are paying $799 and $899, respectively, having a 60Hz display surely feels like a downgrade, especially in an industry where phones much cheaper than the iPhone 14 are offering faster refresh rate. Apple so far has not provided a statement as to why they have decided on this omission, but you can be certain that the company will have some “logical” explanation going forward. Meanwhile, if you want a faster refresh rate and all the pro features, then investing in a more expensive iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max would make more sense. How do you feel about the fact that a $799 phone comes with just a 60Hz display? Let us know in the comments below.
